Minami-Echizen-cho, famous for having the largest cultivation area for cut lotus flowers in Japan. The Lotus Park (Hanahasu Koen) features 120 lotus varieties from around the world blooming in profusion. Every year in July, lotus flowers in a large circle bloom to the delight of visitors.
