Outline: The Iris garden in Kitagata lakeside is one of the most prominent in the country with 300 species and 500 thousand plants that bloom in splendor from the ending of May for about one month. There is an Iris festival from the ending of June and lively crowds gather for boat tours around the lake and the sale of iris plants.
