Former Uryu Family Residence
The former Uryu family residence, built around 1699, is one of the oldest surviving private houses in the prefecture. It features a unique beam structure utilizing cross-braced pillars and thick, tapered columns. Sitting beside the irori hearth with its burning firewood, one can imagine life in those days amidst the tranquil atmosphere of the Shinmei Shrine.
