In this experience, you can consult with Mr. Takeuchi to order your very own special eyeglass frames.

Mr. Takeuchi places great importance on connecting with people and pours his passion into eyewear craftsmanship. During the experience, you can engage in a thorough conversation with him and collaborate on creating your glasses.

Experience Details

When you visit Sun Optical, you'll first tour the workshop where the glasses are made. You'll learn about the processes involved in creating your own pair of glasses and gain insight into the knowledge and depth of craftsmanship behind eyewear making.

After the tour, you'll move to the gallery & cafe "Kijin Megane Exhibition." In the gallery, you can see various glasses Takekawa has made over the years and even try them on.

 

Relax at the cafe while discussing with Mr. Takeuchi what kind of glasses you want to create. Together, you'll carefully decide on the "direction" for your glasses.

After the tour, move to the gallery & cafe "Kijin Megane Exhibition". In the gallery, you can see the various glasses Mr. Takeuchi has made over the years and actually try them on.

 

Relax at the cafe and discuss with Takeuchi-san what kind of glasses you want to create. Carefully decide on the "direction" together.

Once your frame arrives, it won't have lenses installed. Please have them fitted at an optician near your home. And just like that, your very own special pair of glasses is complete!
