Ga-Ono Kuzuryu Fossil Lab
The museum displays fossils that have attracted global attention—such as some of the world’s oldest Tyrannosauridae teeth discovered in the Izumi area and neighboring municipalities, Japan’s oldest bird footprints, and the world’s only known specimen of a certain lizard species—as well as ammonite and crinoid fossils that indicate the area was once submerged, along with plant specimens and representative mineral specimens from across Japan.
