This Zen program in Fukui Prefecture, the birthplace of Soto Zen Buddhism, maximizes cultural elements.

Using fabric and thread discarded during the manufacturing process at a local textile company, participants create zafu meditation cushions. This experience also aims to upcycle surplus materials, putting into practice the Zen teaching of "making the most of things' lives and reducing waste." (Zen × Local Industry × Sustainability)

After making your zafu, you'll experience zazen meditation using it. This offers a rare opportunity to practice zazen under direct guidance from a Soto Zen priest.

The program's greatest feature is its flexibility in location. It can be held not only in Wakasa Town but also at various other locations. The zazen experience is not limited to indoors; it can also be experienced outdoors or in the mountains as "Wild Zen."
