Fukui Phoenix Festival
This festival marks the peak of summer excitement in Fukui City.
The Fukui Phoenix Festival began in 1954 to celebrate overcoming disasters such as war damage, earthquakes, and floods, and to wish for "the joy of reconstruction and further development."
*Please note that the information below refers to the 2025 edition of the event. The festival is held every year; details on the next edition coming soon.
The 2025 festival will be held primarily over three days from August 1 to August 3 (Note: The March for a Million will be held on August 17).
Please note that temporary public transportation services will operate on the festival days, and some regular services may be suspended.
