Asakura Pear and Chestnut Orchard

How about gathering chestnuts in our expansive grounds overlooking the Sea of Japan?

These are our prized chestnuts, lovingly cultivated throughout the year in our orchards. Nourished by the sea breeze, they grow plump and sweet.

Perfect for various dishes like boiled chestnuts, roasted chestnuts, or the labor-intensive simmered chestnuts with their skins intact.

We have chestnut recipes available.

The owner, a famous local character, will explain the best way to pick chestnuts.
