Michi no Eki Roadside Station Echizen-Takefu is a facility adjacent to the new Hokuriku Shinkansen station, Echizen-Takefu Station. Many people associate Fukui with delicious seafood, and this roadside station, managed by a local fishmonger, has attracted considerable attention. At the Exchange Plaza (within the roadside station grounds), you can BBQ fresh fish, meat, and locally sourced vegetables purchased right there. It can also be used for car camping or camping.

A spacious sales area with a soaring ceiling. We sell a wide variety of fresh seafood, including crab and tuna. We also plan and develop sweets using locally grown "Ichihomare" rice and the city's own "Beni Shikibu" tomatoes.

■Dining

We offer numerous dining spots featuring Echizen City specialties like crab, fresh fish, and soba noodles! We also feature Fukui Prefecture's soul food items like Volga Rice and Sauce Katsudon.

■Echizen Takefu Tourist Information Center

The Echizen Takefu Tourist Information Center provides information on the city's three traditional crafts—Echizen Washi paper, forged blades, and chests of drawers—along with local attractions, hands-on experiences, delicious foods, and souvenirs. Furthermore, it also disseminates wide-area tourism information including neighboring cities and towns. The counter, crafted from solid Echizen chest of drawers wood, was specially made by local traditional craftsmen for the information center's opening. (Also houses the Fukutetsu Express Bus Ticket Center)
