What are your main activities?

　We are an organization promoting the appeal of the Echizen Coast area, focusing on five key zones: Takanosu, Natsume, Kunimi, Kono, and Tonka. Local businesses, including restaurants and lodging facilities, collaborate to create guide maps and websites, and organize various experiential events.

What do you keep in mind when running activities?

　We brainstorm experience programs together, but we value each operator's autonomy. We support those who want to plan something, and since trial and error happens quickly, we all cooperate to make the experiences appealing.

What prompted you to start this activity?

　This area faces depopulation and the risk of losing its children. We couldn't just leave this region with its rich nature, food, and culture untouched. So we formed this revitalization team to rediscover the charm of the Echizen Coast across district lines and create a vibrant community.
　Before, we didn't know who lived in the neighboring districts or what they did. But by collaborating across five districts, we can now guide visitors to each other's areas.

What gives you a sense of fulfillment?

　I think the name "Echizen Coast Promotion Team" is starting to be heard in various places, so I feel it's gaining recognition. At the same time, I also feel the pressure to work even harder.

Please share your enthusiasm for the upcoming Shinkansen opening.

　I want to make the Echizen Coast an area where people feel, "If I come here, I can do something." I also want to collaborate with other connected areas like Echizen Town and Mikuni to build a solid system for welcoming tourists.
