Toriage Mountain
Located on the border of Ishikawa Prefecture, it is renowned as a mountain where skunk cabbages bloom profusely in early spring.
The hiking trails feature few steep sections, making for a relatively easy climb.
Alpine plants not found in urban areas and the breathtaking panoramic views of the Hakusan mountain range await.

The fleeting nature of this limited-time bloom further enhances the charm of these beautiful white flowers.

You can descend to the base of the 30-meter waterfall.
Colorful autumn foliage can be seen, with mid-October being the peak viewing period.

Restrooms are available at the Toritsukiyama Mountain Shelter.
As it may be crowded, please use the public restroom along National Route 157.
【Mountaineering During Snow Season】
The entire mountain area is covered in snow from late November to early May.
Particularly from early December to late April, snow accumulation is heavy. Sufficient technical skill, physical fitness, and experience are required. Please climb with equipment suitable for this season.
Do not attempt climbing lightly.
Until around mid-May, residual snow remains around the Otaki Falls area. This is extremely dangerous.
The area around Otaki Falls consists of rocky terrain. Proceed with extreme caution.

- Getting There
- From Nagayama Intersection in Katsuyama City, drive approximately 13 km (17 minutes) along National Route 157 toward Shiramine. The entrance to Higashiyama Ikoi no Mori is on the right. The trailhead is the parking lot at the end of the forest road, a 10-minute drive from Higashiyama Ikoi no Mori.
