Battery-powered sightseeing boat
Japan-Origin! A Journey Through the Sanbako Lakes Using Only Renewable Energy
Large vessels operated using renewable energy from an environmental conservation perspective.
The "Battery-Powered Sightseeing Boat (Large Vessel)" was developed to operate on the Sanbako Lakes—designated as a Ramsar Convention wetland and a Japanese Agricultural Heritage Site—utilizing environmentally friendly renewable energy from an environmental conservation perspective. Designed with the concept of creating future lake mobility, it also anticipates future GPS-based autonomous operation.
Not only does it achieve zero CO2 emissions, but it also offers a quiet ride and a sense of unity with nature.
Furthermore, since the power source is lithium-ion batteries, passengers can enjoy bird watching from the deck in quiet comfort.
