Takeda no Sato Weeping Cherry Festival

The Takeda no Sato Weeping Cherry Festival will be held from Saturday, April 5, 2025, to Friday, April 18, 2025.
Over 150 weeping cherry trees in the park bloom simultaneously, offering a fantastically beautiful scene as their branches sway in the spring breeze.
At Takekurabe Plaza, the festival venue, events such as nighttime illuminations for enjoying the cherry blossoms and a craft market will be held.
A photo contest featuring pictures taken in the Takeda area will also be held.
The illumination lighting ceremony will be held at Takekurabe Plaza on Saturday, April 5, starting at 6:00 PM.
The weeping cherry trees in Takeda, Maruoka Town, Sakai City are a popular cherry blossom viewing spot within Fukui Prefecture.
Centered around Takekurabe Plaza, approximately 100 weeping cherry trees bloom profusely, and after sunset, you can enjoy the fantastical atmosphere created by the illuminations.
