Angel Land Fukui
Angel Land Fukui is a children’s museum that aims to help kids develop an interest in science, outer space, and the world as a whole. The museum offers a practical introduction to science and space concepts. Visitors can learn through hands-on science exhibits, in-person science shows that demonstrate scientific phenomena, and regular planetarium shows.
The free park by the museum features large open spaces, and plenty of play equipment for kids to climb and jump on. The giant sundial outside the museum uses shadows to show the time of day.
Astronaut Mamoru Mohri is the honorary director of this hands-on facility. In the exhibition area, visitors can enjoy learning about the principles of space and science through seven themes, including numbers, shapes, and forces, while playing. The "Geo-Angel," a giant monitor 7 meters high and 4 meters wide, constantly shows nature from around the world and the Earth as seen from space.
There is also a space theater showing planetarium programs on one of the largest domed screens in Hokuriku, a "Playosaurus" where visitors can move their bodies with all their might indoors and outdoors, and large playground equipment such as the "Children's Cloud." Come and experience science through play!
