Yuri-no-Sato Park
Yurinosato Park is known for vast fields of lilies and roses. On most evenings, from sunset to 9:30 p.m., the park lights up. The central building is colored with spotlights, and there is an arched tunnel wrapped in lights for visitors to walk through. The park’s signature flower fields are likewise filled with countless lights, which illuminate the park’s roses in spring and lilies in early summer.
Every June, the park holds its Lily Festival. Some 150,000 lilies come into bloom here, covering the ground throughout the park with a variety of colors, from 20 or so different kinds of lilies.
Throughout summer, the park is a popular outdoor destination for other activities, as well. In addition to playground equipment for kids, the park offers rentals of covered grilling stations, “day-camping” sites for tents, and outdoor lawn games.
Inside the park, there is a restaurant and "Yuri-ichi," a facility which sells local agricultural products directly, and visitors can taste the produce grown in the clean water of Sakai City. The illumination and projection mapping at night attracts visitors to the park, making it a facility that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
