Fukui Prefectural Seaside Nature Center
Experience-based attractions where you can spend the whole day without getting bored, including the "Mysterious Aquarium" where you can feed fish living in the Sea of Wakasa directly, the "Touch the Sea of Fukui" exhibit where you can touch fish, and corners where you can learn about the creatures and environment of Wakasa Bay and the Mikata Five Lakes. Outdoors, nature observation workshops like snorkeling and observing creatures on the rocky shore are held from early summer through autumn. Indoors, craft workshops such as making shijimi clam straps and ocean kaleidoscopes are offered year-round.
