Kura no Tsuji
An area lined with shops converted from former merchant warehouses
Diagonally across from Soja Grand Shrine lies a stylish corner known as "Kura no Tsuji," lined with white-walled storehouses. Since the Edo period, this area flourished as a transit hub for goods traveling from Kansai to the Hokuriku region, with merchants' storehouses lining the streets. Now, as part of urban revitalization efforts, it has been renovated and is poised to become a new landmark in the city center as Kura no Tsuji.
