Arashi Coastal Trail / Nino Beach Trail
The roughly 4-kilometer coastal trail from Yonekawaki through Tojinbo to near Oshima is a veritable avenue of monuments honoring literary figures, poets, and haiku masters connected to Mikuni. The coastal beauty visible from this trail is truly exceptional.
From mid-April to mid-May, the pale purple flowers of the beach radish bloom in full splendor, marking the peak season for this early summer tradition.
The contrast between the vast blue of the Sea of Japan and the white of the beach radish flowers, combined with a stroll tracing the footsteps of these literary figures, allows you to enjoy early summer in Mikuni with all five senses.
