Echizen Daffodils

One of the Three Largest Colonies in Japan

Echizen Daffodil is the generic name for Japanese daffodils that bloom along the Echizen coast. Along with the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture and Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, Echizen is one of the three largest colonies of daffodils in Japan.

When winter arrives, the daffodils cling together as if to protect themselves from the cold, enveloping the coastal landscape in a fresh, white blanket.

Each stem has 4 to 8 petals, and the fragrance is sweet and clean, similar to the aroma of tangerines.
