Doki-doki Dinosaur Digging Land
Katsuyama is Japan's premier town for dinosaur fossil excavations. Use tools to dig through rocks brought directly from the actual excavation site all these dinosaurs were found at! You'll find shell and plant fossils, and if you're lucky, you might even discover a genuine dinosaur fossil. What kind of fossil will you uncover? It's thrilling and exciting! We operate daily, so bring the whole family and give it a try. Closed on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month (Dinosaur Museum holidays) and on venue maintenance days.

- ・Get off at JR Fukui Station → Take the Echizen Railway Katsuyama-Eiheiji Line bound for "Katsuyama" (approx. 1 hour) → Get off at Katsuyama Station → Take the community bus for approx. 15 minutes, or take a taxi for approx. 10 minutes
・At JR Fukui Station, transfer to the JR Etsumihoku Line bound for "Echizen-Ono" or "Kuzuryu Lake" → Get off at Echizen-Ono Station → Take a taxi for approx. 20 minutes
・Hokuriku Expressway Fukui-Kita JCT/IC → Chubu Jukan Expressway Katsuyama IC → Local roads … Approx. 15 min
