Echizen Pottery Festival
The Echizen Pottery Festival is held in late May each year. The centerpiece of the festival is a giant pottery market. Dozens of pottery makers set up stands, and sell items at lower prices than usual. The festival also features stage performances and games.
The largest pottery fair in the prefecture featuring Echizen ware.
The Echizen Pottery Festival brings together Echizen ware kilns from across Fukui Prefecture, offering visitors the chance to purchase new works and a wide variety of ceramics.
In addition to the pottery market, the event features sales of traditional crafts, food and drink stalls, a bazaar, and a "Satsuki-age Tea Ceremony" at the Togeikan Tea Garden.
