Yoshizaki Gobo Temple Remains
A nationally designated historic site steeped in 500 years of tradition. This is the location chosen by Rennyo Shonin, the founder of the Jodo Shinshu revival movement, as the central base for his missionary work in the Hokuriku region. Even today, the surrounding area is known as “Rennyo’s Village” and attracts a steady stream of pilgrims from across the country. The “Rennyo Memorial Service,” held annually from late April through May, is Yoshizaki’s largest traditional event and draws large crowds.
