Yoshizaki Gobo Temple Remains
A national historic site with 500 years of tradition. Rennyo Shonin, the founder of the Jodo Shinshu sect of Buddhism, chose this place as the center of his missionary activities in the Hokuriku region, and even today the area is called "Rennyo no Sato," the home of Rennyo, attracting many visitors from all over Japan. The "Rennyo Memorial Service," which is held in late April and May every year, is the largest traditional event in Yoshizaki and is very popular.
