Fukui Prefectural Museum of History
From ancient times to the present day, Fukui's history is displayed in an easy-to-understand manner.
Highlights include the "History Zone," where you can trace Fukui's history through visually engaging exhibits like authentic materials and full-scale dioramas, and the "Life in the Showa Era" corner, faithfully recreating the daily lives of Fukui residents from the nostalgic 1950s to 1970s, complete with sounds and lighting. Other popular features include the "Open Storage Room," offering a glimpse behind the scenes of the museum.
Adjacent to the museum are a cafe and Iku Park, allowing visitors to enjoy themselves outside the building as well.

- From JR Fukui Station, take the Keifuku Bus Takagi Line and get off at "Prefectural History Museum Mae" stop. It's right there. From the Hokuriku Expressway Fukui-Kita Interchange, it's a 10-minute drive.
