Echizen Gani Crab Museum
The Echizen Crab Museum is a hands-on facility where visitors can play and learn about the mysteries of Echizen crabs and the fish of the surrounding seas. The museum is filled with fun zones such as the Sea Walkway, Theater, Fishing Boat Challenge, and Picture Aquarium.
Visitors can encounter a new "crab culture" as an experience zone facility where they can play and learn about the mysteries of Echizen Gani crabs and the Sea of Japan.

7 Attractions of Echizen Crab Museum

1. Crab Lab
In the Crab Lab, you can study the crab's friends and the mechanisms of the crab's body.
2. Sea Walkway
The Tunnel Aquarium has been expanded, and a new aquarium has been completed. Visitors can see the mysterious ecology of live fish and shellfish as if they were in the sea. Please enjoy the various fish that live off the coast of Echizen from season to season.
3. Theater
The latest multi-projection projection system projects a powerful video onto a large screen 10 meters wide and 3 meters high, overwhelming the viewer. Visitors can feel the difficulty and thrill of crab fishing.
4. Aquarium Painting
This is a virtual aquarium where your own drawings of fish swim in a large-screen aquarium.
5. Crab Collecting
A game corner where visitors step on images of crabs and other creatures floating on the floor to make them move. Pick up trash on the beach and collect crabs hidden in the sand! Even adults will get carried away.
6. Crab Fishing Challenge - Fishing Boat Simulator
This is a game corner where you can experience fishing. The realistic reproduction of splashing waves makes you feel as if you are steering a real fishing boat. You can experience the whole process from leaving the harbor, finishing the crab fishing, to returning to the harbor. Be careful not to get seasick!
7. 3-story diorama that reproduces the depth of the sea at 300 m.
