Sanba-zaka Shimizu
Sanbasaka Shimizu is located at the trailhead leading to the location of the Usuzumi cherry tree (a type of Edohigan cherry), said to have been planted by Emperor Keitai. Its water is cold, of excellent quality, and abundant, making it suitable for drinking. In 2009, local residents restored a traditional paddlewheel watermill along the mountain path leading to the spring. This watermill was historically used to grind millet and foxtail rice, gently preserving the area's old-world charm.
It was certified as "Fukui's Delicious Water" in February 2008.
