Ichijo Falls
A waterfall said to be where the swordsman Sasaki Kojiro trained
Upstream along the Ichijō River, which flows through the Asakura Clan Ruins, lies Ichijō Falls, where a majestic stream of water cascades 17 meters. This site is known as the place where the Great Master Taichō enshrined Hakusan Daigongen and founded Takisuizan Jōkyō-ji Temple; it is also said to be where Sasaki Kojirō devised the “Swallow Return” sword technique.
