Fireflies of Arakawa (Yoshino District)
If you want to see fireflies in Eiheiji Town, this is the place!
The Yoshino district of Matsuoka, Eiheiji Town, is known as the "Firefly Village." The Arakawa River, which flows near Yoshino Elementary School, is the best spot for firefly viewing, with countless Genji fireflies flitting about every year. The peak viewing period is early June.
