Awara Onsen Spring Festival
The festival events begin with a dance offering performed by geisha. Three floats then parade through the Awara Onsen hot spring town: a giant doll float, a float decorated with cherry blossoms, and a float with a large drum being beaten. Geisha ride the cherry blossom float, playing lively festival music to entertain spectators alongside the street stalls lining the route.
