Floating Lanterns and Fireworks Show

A gorgeous picture scroll of sound and light with the scenic beauty of Kebi no Matsubara in the background

Tsuruga, the City of Bright Kagayaki

The night is set against the backdrop of the scenic "Kebi no Matsubara". Vivid lanterns are floated on the surface of the sea to the accompaniment of Buddhist chanting, creating an awe-inspiring atmosphere. This year's theme is "Tsuruga, the city of sparkling lights" and approximately 10,000 fireworks will be shot off. The program commemorates the first anniversary of the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line and the Osaka-Kansai Expo, and will also project thoughts of peace and Tsuruga's symbols across the night sky to depict Tsuruga's bright future.
