Michi no Eki Roadside Station "Echizen Ono: Arashima no Sato"

A large roadside station where you can enjoy outdoor activities

One of the largest roadside stations in the prefecture has opened at the foot of Mount Arashima, one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains. It offers a wide variety of local products—including gourmet items made with locally sourced ingredients, such as Baumkuchen made with 100% Koshihikari rice from Ono, as well as fresh agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and prepared goods—available for purchase year-round. Visitors can also shop at the outdoor brand “Montbell” store and enjoy canoeing and climbing experiences, as well as rent bicycles.
