Mount Ōno Fuji, selected as one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains

Mount Arajima, towering over the southeast of the Ono Basin, is renowned for its beautiful form and has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains. Also called "Ono Fuji," this mountain has long been revered as a sacred peak, with a shrine dedicated at its summit. In the past, it was feared as a mysterious sacred mountain that did not easily allow people to approach, and several legends remain.

※The restroom at the Katsuhara Trailhead is closed during winter.

※Winter mountain climbing is extremely dangerous; please refrain. Ono City assumes no responsibility whatsoever.

※Parking on National Route 158 obstructs local residents and traffic; please absolutely refrain from doing so.
