A hot spring inn standing in the center of Shizuhara Highlands. Since ancient times, it has welcomed many hikers and travelers seeking to soothe their bodies along the route leading to Gifu Prefecture.
The hot spring water, known as the "beauty bath," is a sodium bicarbonate spring. It is smooth, soft, and velvety. (The open-air bath is not a hot spring.)
While not a large bathhouse, it offers the unique seasonal views of the foothills: cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, vibrant autumn leaves, and snowy landscapes in winter. Day-trip bathing is also available.
