DISCOVER FUKUI

A shop themed around Awara Onsen's "hot springs," "Showa retro," and "karuta" has opened on the first floor of the Afrea bustling facility at Awara Onsen Station. It features food and beverage booths and retail booths.

Food & Drink Booth

① "Kinsharitei" offers a menu dedicated to Fukui flavors, including kama-meshi (rice cooked in a pot) using Echizen crab, Mikuni sweet shrimp, and Fukui salmon, as well as sauce katsu don (pork cutlet rice bowl) and grated radish soba noodles.

② "Iroha Yu Coffee Shop" serves coffee with a focus on flavor, along with Western-style dishes like hamburgers and curry.

③ "Imoyurari" offers gelato and cakes made with Tomitsu Kintoki sweet potatoes.

Merchandise Booth

In addition to selling bento boxes and sushi, you can purchase souvenirs from across the prefecture, including hot spring manju, Habutae mochi, Echizen soba, and sesame tofu.

You'll also find tableware and bamboo crafts by artists from Kanazu Creative Forest in Awara City, Echizen washi stationery, and Wakasa-nuri lacquered chopsticks.
