====================

"Daishizan Seidaiji Temple Echizen Great Buddha" is one of Katsuyama's tourist attractions. It is Japan's tallest seated statue, modeled after the seated Buddha statue at Longmen Fengxian Temple in the Longmen Grottoes, located in the suburbs of Luoyang City, Henan Province, China.

Surrounding the seated statue, 1,281 stone and gold Buddha statues are enshrined on three walls. Its overwhelming scale and solemn atmosphere have become a hot topic on social media, drawing attention both domestically and internationally in recent years.

To add value to the increasingly popular Echizen Great Buddha as a tourist hub alongside museums, we planned and designed an artificial sea of clouds
performance that leverages the architectural design and solemn spatial characteristics. This has created a fantastical spatial experience reminiscent of a legendary "fairyland" where immortals dwell.

The sea of clouds appears only during special viewing times, creating this fantastical atmosphere.

Don't miss this opportunity to visit.

Sea of Clouds Special Viewing Plan

Special viewing is available only during the first hour after opening and the last hour before closing, featuring the breathtaking "fairyland" scenery created by the artificial sea of clouds.

A fantastical space, as if inhabited by immortals, unfolds on an overwhelming scale. Additionally, visitors during the special viewing period will receive a "Cloud Sea Version Special Goshuin" stamp.
