Kogyoji Temple, Museum Hana-no-Kura
Kogyoji Temple was founded in 1406 by Shūgaku Shōnin, the third son of Shōnyo Shōnin, the fifth head priest of Hongan-ji. Its "weeping cherry blossoms in spring" and "ginkgo trees in autumn" are renowned, and the museum "Hana-no-Kura" is also located within the temple grounds. Rennyo Shonin, who fled the persecution on Mount Hiei and established a temple in Yoshizaki, Echizen, built an unprecedented large religious organization in just four years. The museum displays materials related to Rennyo's historic largest Yoshizaki missionary work, along with his footsteps, the life of Shinran Shonin, and the world of religion, all expressed using computer graphics.
