Okuetsu Highlands Ranch
Located in Ike-ga-hara, Hiraizumi-cho, Katsuyama City, this prefectural ranch was established in 1971 as a dairy cattle breeding facility. It remains a beloved destination for many as one of the few places where visitors can interact with cows. Across its vast 273-hectare grasslands, young dairy cows are grazed and raised from spring through autumn. The ranch also offers experiential learning programs for elementary schools and groups, including caring for calves and feeding activities.
