Katsuyama Bentenzakura Cherry Trees

The Bentenzakura Cherry Blossom Avenue, stretching approximately 1.5 km along the right bank of the Kuzuryu River, is known as "One Glance, a Thousand Trees." With about 450 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees planted, it is renowned as a prime cherry blossom viewing spot. The Bentenzakura Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year in mid-April when the avenue reaches full bloom. Stalls run by local businesses line the tunnel of cherry blossoms. Furthermore, for one week before and after the festival, lanterns and paper lamps are lit from evening until 10:00 PM, allowing visitors to enjoy the elegant nighttime cherry blossoms.
