DISCOVER FUKUI

The Fukui City Tourism Exchange Center, which opened in October 2023, is a facility designed to welcome and guide visitors to Fukui.

The first floor features a waiting room, restrooms, and bicycle rental services, while the second floor houses a café. The rooftop has been developed into Dinosaur Square, featuring newly installed dinosaur monuments, allowing visitors to comfortably pass the time while waiting at the station.

・Indoor Plaza・Staircase Plaza

　This space can host Fukui-specific merchandise events, mini-live performances utilizing the stair seating, and dance performances.

・Waiting & Rest Area

・Tourist Information Center

　Provides tourist information for all of Fukui Prefecture, luggage storage, and rain gear rentals.

・Bicycle Rental Service (FukuChari): 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM

　Provides electric-assist bicycle rentals using a smartphone app.

・Cafe (Sanji no Oyatsu): 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Open year-round)

　Designed as a café where children can enjoy themselves, it caters to families with children.

・Exhibition & Community Space

　Can be used for small craft workshops and presentations. Also serves as a gallery space for exhibiting and showcasing artwork. (

・Rooftop Plaza

　This open plaza features nine dinosaur monuments. These monuments were created with the concept of parental love and family affection.
　They can be seen from inside the Shinkansen trains. There are also interactive features using smartphone functions, such as large dinosaurs appearing in the area.
　Furthermore, it is at the same height as the platform of Hokuriku Shinkansen Fukui Station, so after the Shinkansen opens, you can see the Shinkansen at eye level.
