Hanakae “Flower Exchange” Festival
This is a festival where visitors to Kanegasaki-gu Shrine to view the cherry blossoms call out, “Let’s exchange flowers,” and intertwine their cherry blossom branches to pray for happiness.
During the festival period, various events will be held, including flower-exchanging with the "Fukumusume" (lucky maidens), nighttime cherry blossom illuminations, a raffle for local specialties, and the Flower-Exchanging Ritual (held on Saturdays and Sundays).
