Tourist Volunteer Guide Tsuruga

Tourism Volunteer Guides Tsuruga was established in September 2011 through the integration of four tourism volunteer guide groups active in Tsuruga.

From ancient times to the present, Tsuruga has been connected to the world through its port for domestic and international trade, its highways for travel to various regions, and its railways for links to locations across Japan. Layers of history have accumulated over each era, creating a rich tapestry of attractions unique to Tsuruga, including two Japan Heritage sites related to its railway and port history.

Based at the Tsuruga Railway Museum in Kanegasaki Green Space, we guide visitors to these "Tsuruga Highlights." We also offer outreach lectures to various local groups.

On March 16, 2024, the Hokuriku Shinkansen finally opened in Tsuruga. We, the Tsuruga Tourism Volunteer Guides, are eager to share Tsuruga's charms with visitors.
