The Echizen Coast is renowned as a major natural habitat for Japanese daffodils, counted among the "Three Great Japanese Daffodils Habitats" alongside Awaji Island and the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture. It boasts the largest area of these habitats in Japan.

The Japanese daffodils blooming specifically along the Echizen Coast are known as "Echizen Daffodils" and are designated as the flower of Fukui Prefecture and the flower of Echizen Town.

The "Daffodil Festival" is held against the backdrop of this Echizen Coast.

During the festival period, events centered around local product fairs and daffodil-themed activities are held primarily along the Echizen Coast in Echizen Town, Minami-Echizen Town, and Fukui City.

・"Daffodils & Crab Fair" (Echizen Town)

・Koshino Narcissus Festival (Koshino District, Fukui City)
