Ikeda Grand Festival

Annual festival of "Suwa Asuwana Shrine," Ikeda's local deity

The Ikeda Grand Festival is held once a year at Suwaazuki Shrine, a shrine in Ikeda, and is held over three days from June 9 to 11 each year.

Starting with the Yoimiya Festival, the festival includes the dedication of Urayasu no Mai (Urayasu dance) by local children, the regular festival, portable shrine procession, children's sumo wrestling, and stage events.

From JR Fukui Station, take the Ikeda Town My Bus to "JA Fukui Ikeda Branch Mae".
