Jingūji

The "Water-Sending Ceremony" at Nara's Tōdai-ji Temple's Nigatsu-dō Hall is renowned as a sacred ritual of this shrine temple. With the sacred mountain as its backdrop, the main hall (a designated Important Cultural Property), the finest wooden structure in Wakasa, presents a majestic sight. The Niō Gate (North Gate), housing powerful wooden statues of the Kongō Rikishi (Guardian Kings), is also an Important Cultural Property.

Both deities and Buddhas reside at the shrine temple.
