Fukui City Museum of Natural History
A museum gathering materials on Fukui's nature under one roof. Its permanent exhibition combines actual specimens, dioramas, and videos to clearly display Fukui Prefecture's natural environment and its formation. The rooftop observation deck and terrace offer panoramic views of the Fukui Plain. It also serves as the Asuwa Mountain Visitor Center.

- 30-minute walk from JR Fukui Station / From JR Fukui Station, take the Shimizu Green Line (Route 74) Keifuku Bus and get off at "Sugayama Koen-shita" or "Fudomiguchi" bus stop, then walk 10 minutes / Take the Community Bus Sumairu West Route (towards Asuwa/Terute) and get off at "Atagozaka" bus stop, then walk about 10 minutes / Take the Fukui Railway Fukutake Line and get off at "Sugayama Koen-guchi Station" or "Shoko Kaijo-mae Station", then walk about 20 minutes
