The Takefu Chrysanthemum Doll Festival is an annual celebration of chrysanthemums, the national flower of Japan. The festival includes displays of life-size dolls decorated with flowers, with different themes each year. It is held from early October to early November at Takefu Central Park.

The theme for 2025 was " HAPPINESS STORY Connected by Chrysanthemums ~ The Fairy Tale World and Friends ~ "

Coinciding with the city's 20th anniversary, it expresses a celebratory world based on fairy tales.

During the event, Takefu Central Park in Echizen City will be beautifully adorned with over 20,000 blooming chrysanthemums. Visitors can admire chrysanthemum arrangements created by enthusiasts competing for skill, as well as chrysanthemum dolls crafted with the masterful techniques of chrysanthemum artists.

An art garden featuring chrysanthemum animals and Japan's largest bear topiary will be on display. Other attractions include large-scale rides like a merry-go-round and monorail, a food court serving Echizen City's gourmet cuisine, the Kikurin Market for souvenirs, and weekend events, ensuring fun for all ages.

The Takefu Review Show by the OSK Japanese Revue Company, captivating audiences with song and dance, will also be held during the event period.
